Welcome to Current Astrology ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our astrology application.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information that you provide directly to us, including:
Account Information: Email address, name, and password when you create an account
Profile Information: Birth date, birth time, birth location, and your current city for astrological calculations
Social Login Data: If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your email and name from those services
Usage Data: Information about how you interact with our application
Questions You Ask: The questions you type into Ask, so we can answer them from your chart
Purchase Records: When you subscribe, we receive your subscription status and purchase history — from Apple via RevenueCat, our subscription processor, for App Store purchases, and from Stripe for purchases on our website. We never see your full payment card details.
Diagnostics: Crash reports and performance data from the app, tagged with an account identifier — never your name or email — so we can trace and fix problems affecting your account
Device Information: An app-specific device identifier used by our subscription processor, and a push-notification token if you turn notifications on; used only to deliver the service and diagnose problems
Analytics (optional): How you use the app and our website (screens viewed, features used), via Google Analytics, only if you allow it. In the app this is a separate “usage analytics” choice, apart from the AI choice in section 7, and you can change it at any time in Account Settings › Usage analytics. On our website you choose in the cookie banner: “Accept all”, “Reject all”, or “Customize” to allow analytics cookies on their own. Account identifiers are removed from page addresses before they are sent, so this is not linked to your account
Advertising (optional, website only): Only if you choose “Accept all” on our website, or tick “Ad measurement and personalization (Google)” under “Customize”, Google may use your visit to measure and personalize our ads (Google signals and ad personalization). We never use advertising tracking inside our iOS app.
You can change these choices at any time: .
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
Provide personalized astrological readings and horoscopes
Create and maintain your account
Communicate with you about your account and our services
Improve and optimize our application
Protect against fraudulent or unauthorized activity
4. Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:
With service providers who assist in operating our application
To comply with legal obligations
To protect our rights and the safety of our users
With your consent
The service providers we use are:
Amazon Web Services — hosting, data storage, and sign-in
AI model providers — Google Gemini generates your personal readings from your birth-chart data, except the personal notes on our event guides, which may be written by Anthropic (Claude), reached through OpenRouter, from the parts of your chart each event touches. For Ask, your questions, your birth-chart data and earlier answers may go to Anthropic (Claude), reached through OpenRouter, which passes requests on and so handles the same information, and to Google Gemini, which may also check answers or summarize a conversation — never your name or email
ElevenLabs — AI voice; when you tap Listen on a personal reading, receives the text of that reading to narrate it, never your name or email
Our astrology-data provider — calculates your birth chart; receives your birth date, birth time, and birth place with a random profile identifier, never your name or email
komoot Photon — city search; the text you type into a city field is sent from your device, with your IP address, to Photon to suggest matching places
OpenStreetMap Nominatim — when you save a profile, may receive your birth place name to look up its coordinates for your chart
Apple and RevenueCat — App Store subscriptions; Apple also delivers push notifications
Stripe — subscriptions purchased on our website
Resend — delivers our emails, such as verification codes and newsletters
Google Analytics — usage analytics, and advertising measurement on our website only if you choose “Accept all” or tick the ad measurement box under “Customize”
Sentry — crash and error reporting
We require service providers that process your information on our behalf to protect it with the same or equal protection described in this policy.
We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
If you explore without an account, your chart and readings are stored as a provisional guest profile and deleted automatically 8 days after it was created, unless you create an account to keep them. If you have an account, we keep your information until you delete your account.
To delete your account, open Account Settings — in the app, tap your initial at the top right; on a desktop browser, open your account menu and choose Account Settings — then scroll to Danger Zone, tap Delete Account and confirm. This deletes your account, profiles, birth charts and question history; narrated audio of your readings is removed within 7 days, and we keep only an anonymized record that an account existed. If you signed in with Apple, you may be asked to confirm with Apple first.
The requests we send to our AI providers are also logged on our own servers. They carry no name, email or account identifier and are not tied to your account, so they are not removed when you delete it.
Our service providers keep data for their own periods:
Google Analytics keeps the individual usage events and the user-level data behind our reports for 14 months; aggregated reports are kept longer and are not linked to you.
Sentry keeps crash and error reports for up to 90 days and full performance data for up to 30 days; a sampled summary of performance data can be kept for up to 13 months.
Google does not use the chart data and questions we send to Gemini to improve its products; it keeps them for a limited period (currently 55 days) only to detect abuse, as described in the Gemini API terms.
Anthropic’s commercial terms say it may not train its models on content sent through its API. It deletes that content within 30 days by default, and can keep it longer to enforce its Usage Policy or where the law requires. It stores data in the US and, by default, may route requests to countries in Europe, Asia and Australia as well.
OpenRouter says it does not use inputs or outputs for model training. It keeps information as long as reasonably necessary for its business, legal and regulatory obligations, and may transfer personal data to its servers in the US, relying on European Commission adequacy decisions and standard contractual clauses.
7. AI Processing and Your Ask Consent
AI-written readings. Your personal readings are written by AI. To write them, we send your birth chart details to Google Gemini — never your name or email. The personal notes on our event guides may instead be written by Anthropic (Claude), reached through OpenRouter, which passes requests on and so handles the same information: they receive your houses and the natal planets each event touches, never your name, email or birth details. ElevenLabs receives a reading’s text only when you tap Listen, to read it aloud. We do this to provide the personal readings you ask for.
Your questions in Ask. We ask your permission before your first question is shared. If you allow it, we share your question, your birth chart details and earlier answers in the conversation with our AI providers to answer you — never your name or email. Those providers may be Anthropic (Claude), reached through OpenRouter, which passes requests on and so handles the same information, and Google Gemini, which may also check an answer against your chart details or summarize a conversation. You can turn it off at any time in Account Settings › AI data sharing. If you don’t allow it, or turn it off, Ask is off and your personal readings continue. You can turn it on again in Ask (“Turn on Ask”).
City search (komoot Photon) is not an AI service and is not part of this choice; what it receives is described in section 4.
8. Age Requirement
Current Astrology is for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to use the service. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18; if you believe a person under 18 has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Third-Party Authentication
If you choose to sign in using a third-party service (Google or Apple), we receive certain profile information from that service. We only use this information to create and manage your account. Please review the privacy policies of these third-party services for their data practices.
10. Your Rights
You have the right to:

Request deletion of your account and data
